Vision

BCS is a ministry of Bethel Baptist Church. We mirror its active vision for our families and for our community:

Driven by the Glory of God: The reason for our existence is to glorify God, for He, as our Creator, is worthy of glory, honor, and praise. Therefore, Bethel Christian School passionately and deliberately draws attention to God in everything.

Passionate for the Gospel: There is no greater way to glorify God than to point people to Jesus Christ. Because of His gospel, we should be humbled at the love, grace, mercy, holiness, and character of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Therefore, Bethel Christian School intentionally focuses on and shares Christ at every opportunity.

Motivated by Grace: Bethel Christian School desires to create a fertile environment for students to become more like Christ. Living in grace is not a liberty that allows a believer to choose a lifestyle independent of the Scriptures, nor is it reduced to a list of rules to gain favor with God. Growing in grace is a process that involves God the Holy Spirit working in each believer’s life to grow him into mature faith. It is our desire to provide an environment which challenges young believers to hunger and thirst after righteousness.

Academic Excellence

Bethel Christian School pursues academic excellence in all grades and in all subjects. Students are challenged to work independently and to think for themselves as they build convictions that will stand under the pressures of our culture. Students have consistently scored above national norms on standardized tests and have exhibited success in college and in the workplace.

culture through fine arts

BCS places a strong emphasizes on the arts. We want our young people to hone their skills in speech and music for God's glory. Students are involved in regional, state, and national competitions in music, speech, academic testing, science projects, and art. BCS has placed in the top three in a national competition in instrumental competitions for the past several years.

team-focused athletics

Our athletic teams have won many championships within our league (ODACS). We focus on teamwork and the development of the athlete to work successfully within a group to meet an objective beyond their own. These skills help tremendously in preparation for work in the business world and as members of a church.

discipline through mentorship

We emphasize the commandments to love God and others and to follow the Golden Rule. Staff eagerly follow these same guidelines in their own lives and can therefore share it with their students. We attempt to have necessary, not burdensome, rules that are consistent with our family atmosphere.
